Green Sea Turtle
Learn About An Endangered Marine Animal
INTRODUCE
My animal is Green Sea turtle[绿海龟].Why its name is Green Sea Turtle?Because it has a green skin and it lives in the ocean.
Green sea turtle is the secondary consumer in the food chain.
The habitat of green sea turtle is mainly distributed in the tropical and subtropical waters around the world.
Green sea turtle has a big hard shell that can protect it, but its four limbs and head can't incorporate into the shell.
The incubation of green sea turtle is rest with the temperature of the sand around the egg.So global warming causes a rapid increase in female green sea turtle.
Food Chain

What Does The Green Turtle Eat?
Newly hatched green sea turtles are carnivores
that eat crabs and more.
Adult green sea turtle are herbivores, which eat some sea weed, etc.
Green sea turtles feed on crabs, jellyfish and other creatures as juveniles.
Green sea turtles eat a primarily plant-based diet consisting of seaweed and sea grass.

Natural Enemy
Sharks and Killer whales are the main natural enemies of green sea turtle that prey on adult green sea turtles.
Birds prey on newly hatched young green sea turtles while carnivorous fish such as octopuses also
attack young green sea
turtles.
Why is it so hard for green sea turtles to find food?
The distribution of plants on the sea floor, competition with other Marine herbivores and migration to lay eggs can all affect the dense chamber success rate of green sea turtle.

Habitat
Green sea turtle lives in the marine biome, specifically in countries like Costa Rica and Australia.

MARINE
BIOME
In the marine biome, there are Sperm Whales and Dolphins(Mammal), Sharks and Tuna(Fish), Crabs and Octopus(Tardigvada), Jellyfish and Sea anemone(Mollush).
There also have a lot of plants in the marine, like seaweeds, seagrass and kelp.

Green sea turtles mainly live in waters from 20°C to 30°C waters and they are mainly found in enviroments in tropical and subtropical climates.
Enviroments

Living Area
Green sea turtles like to live near coastal waters, bays, lagoons and coral reefs. During the breeding season female green sea turtle will dig a wide pit to lay their eggs.
What dangers does Green Sea Turtle's biome face in the future ?
Temperature change can lead to increased female ratio and sea grass bed degradation due to ocean warming.

ADAPTATIONS
Green sea turtle can be up to 5 feet tall and its weight can up to 700 pounds.

The green turtle's body structure can help it adapt.
The anal capsule of green sea turtles feeds oxygen from seawater.
Its flippers can increase the speeds.
Its sal armor is both protecting internal organs and reducing resistance.

The baby green sea turtle is only about 5 cm long, the body surface is dark gray or gray black, and the unhardened back armor is translucent.
Armor
The back armor of young green turtles is covered with orange and brown parterns, whereas it gradually turns dark green or brown red, and the belly armor turns from pure white to pale yellow.
